The Slave of Jehovah; the Servant of Jehovah - Centerpiece

 The Suffering Servant

He is the one who will bring salvation, comfort, and the forgiveness of sins. He is the theme of this second section of the book of Isaiah.

This same designation "servant" is used in four songs or prophecies of the Servant in this second section of the book of Isaiah. 

The so-called “servant songs” in 42:1-9, 49:1-13, 50:4-11, and 52:13–53:12 present an increasingly clear prophetic view of the coming Messiah’s role as the Savior not only of Israel but indeed of those from every tribe, tongue, nation, and people who look to God in faith (see 49:6). Isaiah 53:1-12 in particular describes with uncanny precision the sacrificial death and victorious resurrection that Jesus Christ later experienced on behalf of sinners. (ETB Commentary)

The 27 Chapters of the second section are divided into three divisions of 9 chapters each in terms of subject

• Salvation from the Babylonian captivity. Chapters 40 - 48
• Salvation from sin. At the very center, is the Suffering Servant, Chapters 49 - 57
• Salvation from the cursed earth. Chapters 58 - 66

In chapter 53 we find the Suffering Servant. The context of the passage actually begins in Isa 52:13.

The entire section from Isa 52:13 to Isa 53:12 is a vivid description of the sufferings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Israel was Jehovah’s servant in that the nation was used of God to bring the Word and the Savior to the world. However, Israel was a disobedient servant that had to be chastened. Jesus Christ is the true Servant of Jehovah who died for the world and perfectly did His Father’s will. (Wiersbe's Expository Outlines)

The middle division of the second section of the book which deals with salvation from sin runs from chapter 49 to 57. The Jews would ask, "why do we need a savior from sin?"

• The Jews were not convinced that they needed a savior. They thought they just needed a righteous King. 
• They thought that by virtue of their Abrahamic descent, by virtue of the Covenants and the promises that they were in the place of blessing 
• The believed through acts of their own goodness and by virtue of their efforts at religious activities, ceremonies, rituals, and attempts to obey the Law of God, that they had earned their favor with God.
• Isaiah gives a message about a savior who will deliver us from our sins so that we escape eternal hell and enter into God's Eternal presence.

So the centerpiece section of these three sections of nine chapters shows salvation from sin for the people of God, Jew and Gentile. And it’s going to come through the Servant who will be the Savior sent from God. 

• In the middle section chapter 49 to 57, the middle chapters are 52 and 53. 
• The middle verse of Isa 52:13 to Isa 53:12 is verse 5, 

Middle section, middle chapter, middle of the chapter, middle verse, 8 verses down, or 8 verses up...Right in the middle:

(Isa 53:5)  But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. (ESV)

The Centerpiece

The central theme of the Salvation and Grace section of Isaiah's prophesy is right there in the center verse of the center section and it focuses down in verse 53:5 on the substitutionary piercing of the Servant of Jehovah for us.

If the Lord is God, Follow Him. Not the World or Man

Everyday each of us in someway, serve or fall prey to the Kingdom of Darkness, and its minions.

Elijah's words should speak to all who claim The Eternal Word, Jesus Christ, as Lord and Savior:

And Elijah came near to all the people and said, “How long will you go limping between two different opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.” And the people did not answer him a word.

There are only two kingdoms: the Kingdom of Heaven, and the kingdom of darkness.

• The Battle is actually, Jerusalem vs Babylon....
• The natural man knows not the things of God.

Whether "Christianity", or Islam, or Hindu, or Judaism...or...you fill in the blank... it does not matter... 
 If you are not following the Word of the Kingdom God and instead cling to the evils of the kingdom of darkness, you can and will be deceived and be capable of committing radical atrocities such as those which have been attributed to "Christianity" in ages past, and those of recent history, even today.

This should be a wake up call to those who are in Babylon, and really are not be applicable to a person who knows The Truth... 
The Truth is The Word of God. That Word of God became flesh so that all would be capable of being with Him for all Eternity. That is the meat of the message.

Those who actually know this, and believe this, do not commit the heinous crimes of genocide, mass murder, hate killings or the like.

We can reflect on the events of the middle ages and see it as just secular world history which includes atrocities attributed to those who believed they were following the True God, but only thought so because they were told by those who had exclusive access to the Bible. Those "in the know" taught their followers what they wanted them to know, and indoctrinated them into the thinking that what the "universal church" taught, with its traditions and echelons of piety... was actually the divine truth.

The Papacy claims to be the Vicar of Christ and infallible. There is only One who is Holy and Infallible.

 "Vicar" means, "instead, or in place of". The title "Vicar of Christ" implies that the Pope wields all the powers rightly attributed to The Almighty.... 

This obviously, is false doctrine.

Homework for all is to figure it out, study, and determine which kingdom those so called "Christians" were a part of, whether they knew it or not.

Rome dispatched its legions not only against the Muslims, but the Christian's as well.
When its dominance over all people was being threatened, then the stage had been set for the horrific events in history such as the crusades, the counter-reformation and the various inquisitions.

We would all be well advised to note that in our present age, nothing has changed. The deception is still alive and well today, and this is as it should be. 

Even more events of horror will come, as the pangs of birth get stronger and in tighter intervals, until we reach the final consummation of His Plan.:

As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” ⁴ And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. ⁵ For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. ⁶ And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. ⁷ For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. ⁸ All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.

The fallen, unbelieving world is without excuse, as His Majesty and Awesome Power is evident in His Creation, all around us.

Rom 1:19
 "For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them."

MacArthur Comments: 1:19
"is plain to them" - God has sovereignly planted evidence of his existence in the very nature of man by reason and moral law (1:20, 21, 28, 32; 2:15).

Rom 1:20
"For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse."

MacArthur Comments: 1:20
"invisible attributes" - This refers specifically to the two mentioned in this verse.

"his eternal power" - The Creator, who made all that we see around us and constantly sustains it, must be a being of awesome power.

"divine nature" - That is, his faithfulness (Gen. 8:21–22), kindness, and graciousness (Acts 14:17).

"in the things that have been made" - The creation delivers a clear, unmistakable message about God’s person (cf. Ps. 19:1–8; 94:9; Acts 14:15–17; 17:23–28).

"they are without excuse" - God holds all men responsible
for their refusal to acknowledge what he has shown them of himself in his creation. Even those who have never had an opportunity to hear the gospel have received a clear witness about the existence and character of God—and have suppressed it.
If a person will respond to the revelation he has, even if it is solely natural revelation, God will provide some means for that person to hear the gospel (cf. Acts 8:26–39; 10:1–48; 17:27).

Rom 1:21
"For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God
or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and
their foolish hearts were darkened."

MacArthur Comments: 1:21 

"knew God" - Man is conscious of God’s existence, power, and divine
nature through general revelation (v v. 19–20).

"they did not honor him" - Man’s chief end is to glorify God (Lev. 10:3; 1 Chron. 16:24–29; Ps. 148; Rom. 15:5–6), and Scripture constantly demands it (Ps. 29:1–2; 1 Cor. 10:31; Rev. 4:11). To glorify him is to honor him, to acknowledge his attributes, and
to praise him for his perfections (cf. Ex. 34:5–7). It is to recognize his glory and extol him for it. Failing to give him glory is man’s greatest affront to his Creator (Acts 12:22–23).

"or give thanks" - They refused to acknowledge that
every good thing they enjoyed came from God (Matt. 5:45; Acts 14:15–17; 1 Tim. 6:17; James 1:17).

"futile" - Man’s search for meaning and purpose will produce only vain, meaningless conclusions.

"hearts were darkened" - When man rejects the truth, the darkness of spiritual falsehood replaces it (cf. John 3:19–20).

"Claiming to be wise, they became fools,"

"Claiming to be wise, they became fools" - Man rationalizes his sin and proves his utter foolishness by devising and believing his own philosophies about God, the universe, and himself (cf. Ps. 14:1; 53:1).

We Have Peace with God Through Our Faith in God the Father, and the Savior, Jesus Christ

We have Peace with God Through Our Faith in God the Father, and the Savior, Jesus Christ.

By having faith in God, The Creator of all things, as well as faith in the provision He has made for the payment of the debt we owe Him (we being sinful from birth), and acknowledging His Son, Jesus Christ, The Alpha and Omega, and the gift of redemption He has given us.

Jesus willingly giving Himself to a horrific death on the cross, to spill His blood, which would cover all the sins of the world.

"Christ died for the ungodly"

Believing in the Creator, in the Savior, and the work at the cross and His subsequent resurrection, which is the provision that God had made for sinners to be cleansed and redeemed through Christ, allows us to be justified in His sight.

As Abraham had believed God, and it was imputed to him as righteousness, so we too should believe and have faith that God is, and that what He says, is Truth.

Believing in Him, we are justified by Faith!  All Power, Praise, and Glory to the Lord on High, The Everlasting, Alpha and Omega, Ancient of Days... What A Savior!

Romans 5:1-8 (ESV)

"Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.

For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

There is a Light Burning in the Darkness

Below is a question I believe many in the world might ask considering the push for unity among the religions of the world. The quest to live in peace and harmony, freedom and safety, with our neighbors in the "Global Village".

It is obvious from the news headlines daily, that man continually fails to grasp peace and unity, but the quest is unending. The Word of God tells us that at some point in time, possibly the very near future, the masses will actually believe that a true period of peace has come, and that we will live in "Peace and Safety"

The Light of the World has revealed to us in His Word that this ultimate peace, safety, and freedom is actually a great deception spawned from the time of the earth's creation. It also states that the final perceived realization of it is in all actuality, the ultimate deception from the ruler of this world.

Lucifer (Satan), has temporary dominion over this earth and has bound it in spiritual darkness. Satan has blinded the whole world to the spiritual significance of the world events prevalent before our very eyes as he did with world events throughout history. We have been pawns in his ancient game of "tug-o-war", attempting to rest away supreme dominance from The Almighty Creator. The game continues to this day with the spiritual significance great, and the eternal ramifications greater, as we are moving closer, in this last days, to the return of Jesus Christ. The King of kings and Lord of lords. 

The question from a mid-eastern Muslim I would like to comment on is below. It is my response to him.

The answer to this lies in the spiritual realm, not in a secular impression. All are speaking of what you see and discern as "good" or "righteous" because they are together, uniting. So from your comment, I get the impression you think the Pope having them visit Rome for "group prayer" is a good thing? This is the brunt of the problem, in that the "whole world" will be deceived.

They that have the True Word, and the True discernment, which only comes from The Living God, through His Holy Spirit, know that this is a ruse, and that any "unity" brought about by man will be stained and tainted with the sin of man.

There will be no true peace until the Trump of God sounds and Jesus (Yeshua) returns to reclaim the earth. He will have the scroll with the 7 seals which He had broken open, (He is the ONLY ONE worthy to do so, because He Created, and later paid In blood for it at the cross..)

This scroll is the title deed to Earth, which Satan has been given reign over for a period of time until all the works of God which He has ordained are fulfilled, and He then returns to reclaim ownership of His Creation, which the Deceiver had corrupted since The Fall in the Garden of Eden.

 Lucifer or Satan is "the god of this world".

If we say we are "religious" and follow our faith truly, then we can not pick and choose what is true and what is not. You have to take the WHOLE revelation as God's Word or don't bother reading it or following it.

The Jews, Muslims and Christians all claim the Old Testament is the WORD of GOD.

That WORD, by the way, "became flesh and dwelt among us" John 1:14

Back to our "Prayer Party in Rome":

How can these three pray together lest they pray to the same god?

It is my stand that they do pray to the same god. They either do so unknowingly, because they are deceived, or, they do so willingly, because of a greater plan to unite all under the religion of the "god of this world".

Think I lie???  Just take a look on YouTube at the 2014 New Year's celebrations around the world at all the major cites, or maybe the opening ceremonies of the 2014 Olympics in Russia, or maybe the halftime show at this last Super Bowl... and I can go on and on....

Do you see any symbolism in those that might let you believe somebody is trying to propagate something???

Now look on the left side of a US one dollar bill. You are looking at the symbol of a goal: "One World United in Illumination". " Out of Chaos, Order" In Roman numerals: 1776... not the birth year of the US, but the birth year of "The Illuminati", which is affiliated with  Freemasonry.  READ: Adam Weishaupt Bavaria 1776 -  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Weishaupt

Of course, that world will be ruled by the "Illuminated Ones" and the rest of us will be its pawns, peons, serfs, slaves.... you call it.

But that is a secular goal, and the goal of Satan. It has been Lucifer's goal since the beginning... (Read Genesis in the OT)

Their "high positions"  in their respective governments or religions, is bought and paid for by the affiliates (supporters, donors, victims of extortion, etc.) who are mobilized and directed by "illuminated" secret societies,  which manipulate world events, working from both sides of a conflict in order to further their short term goals which would eventually lead to their ultimate goal of world domination (NWO if you will).

And we wonder why our politicians do the things they do???  We have been so spiritually deceived...

Jesus came to make those who are bound in darkness, see, and those who say they see... blind... because they reject The Almighty and follow, knowingly or unwittingly, the Deceiver...

How does this relate to these religious leaders wanting to pray together?

If they are working toward the same ends, then this is necessary to maintain the ruse of belligerents seeking peace. The answer is obvious.

Consider reports of the US funding Al Qaeda and ISIS, and then reports of the US fighting against Al Qaeda and ISIS, its OWN weapons being shot back at them?

Russia China, US, UK France, the nations of the whole world; they all have members in the Jesuits, The Masons, The Knights of Malta, The Knights of Columbus, Skull and Bones, and numerous other groups, all the "illuminated ones" who will reign on earth.

The ends justify the means... millions can die to reach the ultimate goal, which is what Satan wants.

Does any of this sound like headline news????

We are being SPIRITUALLY DECEIVED. It is not a conspiracy theory when the SPIRITUAL Realm is the battleground....

It is called FAITH...

The POPE is in Rome. It is not just a church, it is a POLITICAL STATE. Does any one ask a Catholic:

Why do you go to Rome and visit the Pope, and when you see him, bow down kiss his hands and his feet, and call him  "His Holiness"  when there is "none righteous, no, not one" ?
Why do you pray to the "saints and Mary?"

Doesn't the Ten Commandments state that you should have no other gods, worship or create any graven images to worship?"

Doesn't Jesus say, call no one "father" because your Father is in Heaven?

The world is being deceived and has been deceived since the beginning,

Nimrod wanted to build his tower to heaven so that he could hang out where the gods hang out, and rule over his one world kingdom... all the people united. His Tower of Babel to the heavens.

God confused their languages and dispersed them into the ancient nations which were the forerunners of the ones we live in today. The human nations, the descendents all from the Tower of Babel...The original Babylon.... and its original mystery religions.

The pantheistic religion of Babylon dispersed into all the world to create all kinds of new religions based on the original Luciferian inspired mystery religions of Babylon...

The world is so very deceived, and we take it, hook line and sinker....

That is why TRUTH becomes apparent as a result of having a real relationship to God, the Creator of All,  through His Son, the Savior of the World, Jesus Christ

Knowledge of the Truth does not come from man or from following a specific religion, but from God and from His Word, who created all things, and became flesh.

He brought Light to the World so that all could see. "The Life was the Light of Men"

John1:1-5
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Hopefully, with all of this in mind, the next time you read the "Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ" (not "Revelations") and see in Chapter 17 the references  to the "Woman on the Beast"  lights will turn on in your head:

So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. Dan 12:1  And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.  

Dan 12:2  And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.  

Dan 12:3  And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.  

Dan 12:4  But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Dan 12:5  Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river.  

Dan 12:6  And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?  

Dan 12:7  And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.  

Dan 12:8  And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?  

Dan 12:9  And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.  

Dan 12:10  Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.  

Dan 12:11  And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.  

Dan 12:12  Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.  

Dan 12:13  But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
